Einband leicht berieben und mit einzelnen kleineren Fehlstellen im Lederbezug. Schriftzug in Tinte auf Vortitel und weißem Fußsteg des Frontispiz. Seiten vorwiegend in den Stegen minimal stockfelckig. Insgesamt gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar.

Marbled endpapers and marbled edges. English-language edition. With frontispiece and 8 black-and-white plates. Front endpaper with a mounted paper label of the time, presenting this copy as a prize for excellence awarded by Ware Grammar School, French Class III. Binding lightly rubbed with some minor scuffing to the leather. Ink inscription to half-title and the lower margin of the fontispiece. Pages with occasional light foxing, mostly in the margins. Overall near fine copy.
