Band 1: Contenant Ce Qui Regarde les Animaux & les Plantes. Band 2 und 3: Contenant ce qui regarde les dehors & l’intérieur de la Terre. Band 4: Contenant ce qui regarde le Ciel & les liaisons des différentes parties de l’Univers avec les besoins de l’homme. Band 5: Contenant ce qui regarde l’Homme considéré en lui-même. Band 6-7: Contenant ce qui regarde l’Homme en Société. Die Kupfertafeln zeigen unter anderem zoologische und botanische, technische und handwerksbezogene, astronomische und kartographische Motive. Es fehlen die beiden Teile des Bandes 8, der abgesehen von den Frontispizen nicht durch Kupferstiche illustriert ist. Einbände beschabt und bestoßen mit kleineren Fehlstellen im Lederbezug und einer größeren am unteren Kapital des siebten Bandes (ca. 3,5 cm Durchmesser), die Kupferstiche mit leichtem Abklatsch, Außenfalz bei 3 Bänden eingerissen bzw. aufgeplatzt, Seiten und einzelne Tafeln stellenweise leicht stockfleckig (Band 7 stärker betroffen mit verfärbten Wasserflecken in den Stegen) und gelegentlich mit kleinen Eckknickspuren, Seiten zumeist nur minimal und lediglich stellenweise deutlicher gebräunt, gelegentlich im Falz etwas gelockert (Bindung insgesamt jedoch fest), wenige Tafeln resultierend aus falscher Faltung mit schmalem gebräuntem Rand und minimalen Randläsuren, Titelblatt von Band 1 im Falz leicht eingerissen (ca. 2 cm), Frontispiz dort mit Schabstelle (leichte Textberührung, keine Bildberührung), im selben Band eine Lage lose beiliegend, in Band 2 die Tafel mit der Kelter mit nachgebräuntem Feuchtigkeitsfleck (ca. 2,5 cm Durchmesser, ein Teil davon mit Bildverlust), Vortitel, Frontispiz und 2 Falttafeln in Band 7 lose, Tafel 32 im selben Band fehlend. Insgesamt gutes Exemplar mit in schönen und kräftigen Abdrucken erhaltenen Kupferstichen.

Vol. 6-7: Contenant ce qui regarde l’Homme en Société. The copper plates show zoological and botanical, technical and craft-related, astronomical and cartographic motifs, among others. The two parts of volume 8, which apart from the frontispieces is not illustrated with engravings, are missing. Bindings scuffed and bumped with minor losses to the leather cover and a larger one to the spine of the seventh volume (approx. 3.5 cm in diameter), the copperplate engravings with slight set-off, joints of 3 volumes torn or split, pages and individual plates slightly foxed in places (volume 7 more severely affected with discoloured water stains in the margins) and occasionally with some crease marks to the corners, pages mostly only minimally and only in places more distinctly darkened, occasionally a bit loosened at the fold (binding generally tight), a few plates and pages with narrowly darkened margins and minimal marginal tears due to incorrect folding, title page of volume 1 slightly torn at the fold (approx. 2 cm), frontispiece there with scrape (slightly touching the text, not entering the image), in the same volume one quire loose, in volume 2 the plate with the winepress with darkened moisture stain (approx. 2.5 cm diameter, part of it with loss of image), front title, frontispiece and 2 folding plates in volume 7 loose, plate 32 in the same volume missing. Overall a good copy with copper engravings preserved in beautiful and strong impressions.
