Einband leicht fleckig und berieben, Rückenaufgehellt. Vorsatz mit Einträgen von alter Hand in Tinte und mit alten Buchhändlermarken. Eine Lage stark gelockert. Seiten leicht gebräunt, Frontispiz im weißen Rand wie auch die ersten und letzten Blätter leicht stockfleckig. Gutes Exemplar.
Original cloth binding with blind- and gilt-stamped decoration and all edges gilt. First edition. English-language edition. Howgego 427. With a lithographed frontispiece and 7 additional tinted lithographed plates with views. Binding slightly stained and rubbed, spine faded. Front endpaper with ink inscriptions in an early hand and old bookseller labels. One gathering significantly loosened. Pages lightly darkened, light foxing to the margins of the frontispiece and the first and last leaves. Good copy.
