Erste Ausgabe. Tooley 141. Englischsprachige Ausgabe. Mit 6 (von 7) handkolorierten Aquatinta-Tafeln durch John Clark. Alle Tafeln abgesehen vom Frontispiz gesammelt hinter dem „Preliminary discourse on the Civil War and usurpation“ gebunden. Eine Farbtafel fehlend. Seiten und Tafeln minimal gebräunt und leicht bis stellenweise mäßig stockfleckig. Eine Seite mit kleinerem, hinterlegtem Randeinriss (ca. 2cm). Insgesamt gutes Exemplar.
Later half leather binding in period style with gilt-stamped title on black leather spine label, marbled paper-covered boards, rough outer and bottom edges, and blue-speckled top edge. First edition. Tooley 141. English-language edition. With 6 (of 7) hand-coloured aquatint plates by John Clark. All plates, except for the frontispiece, bound together after the „Preliminary discourse on the Civil War and usurpation.“ One plate missing. Pages and plates minimally darkened and lightly to moderately foxed in places. One page with a small, professionally repaired marginal tear (approx. 2 cm). Overall a good copy.
