1. Auflage. Englischsprachige Ausgabe. Mit eingebundenem Widmungsblatt zu jemandes Examen, datiert 1891, Frontispiz und 3 weiteren Tafeln. Einband an den Kanten und am Rücken berieben, Buchdeckel mit einigen Kratspuren. Vorsatzpapier im Innenfalz teils eingerissen. Die ersten Vakatseiten sowie der Vortitel im Innenfalz stärker braunfleckig, Blätter fast durchgehend (meist an den Rändern) teils braunfleckig. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar. First edition. English language edition. With a dedication sheet for someones exam, dated 1891, frontispiece and 3 more plates, all bound to the spine. Original full leather binding with gilt embossed book decoration and armor at the cover, gilt embossed title on red leather label on spine and gilt cut edges. Cover with some scratch marks, rubbed at the margins and spine. Endpapers with tears at the inner folds. The first empty sheets and the half title spotted at the inner fold, sheets almost throughoutly partly foxy (mostly at their margins). Nearly fine copy.
