Nummer 155 von 175 arabisch nummerierten Exemplaren auf BFK Rives mit Schöpfrand (Gesamtauflage von 213 Exemplaren, davon die ersten 25 arabisch nummerierten, 25 römisch nummerierte, 10 Künstlerexemplare und 3 weitere nicht nummerierte in jeweils abweichender Ausstattung). Monod I 2685. Carteret IV 101. Französischsprachige Ausgabe. Mit 25 Original-Radierungen von Albert Decaris, darunter auch die Deckelillustration des Umschlags, der gestochene Titel und das doppelblattgroße Frontispiz. Umschlag minimal fleckig, am Hinterdeckel mit leichter Knickspur und drei mit Gewebeband unterlegten Enrissen am Rücken (davon einer ca. 3 cm in die Radierung am Vorderdeckel hineinreichend, jedoch ohne Bildverlust). Die Seidenhemdchen gebräunt und zum Teil mit kleineren Randläsuren. Viele Tafeln leicht, einige mäßig stockfleckig (das Frontispiz insbesondere im Falz deutlicher betroffen). Die Radierungen selbst dennoch eindrucksvoll mit kräftigem Grat, lediglich mit leichtem Durchschlag. Insgesamt gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar.

Monod I 2685. Carteret IV 101. French-language edition. With 25 original etchings by Albert Decaris, including the jacket illustration, the engraved title, and the double-page frontispiece. Jacket minimally spotted, with a slight crease on the rear cover and three tears to the spine, reinforced with cloth tape (one tear extends approx. 3 cm into the front cover etching, though without image loss). Tissue guards darkened and with minor edge defects in places. Many plates lightly, some moderately foxed (the frontispiece especially along the fold more noticeably affected). The etchings themselves nonetheless striking, with strong burr, showing only light offsetting. Overall a near fine copy.
