Erste Ausgabe. Reche II, 434. Mit gestochener Titelvignette und 20 (von 22) gefalteten Kupfertafeln, gelegentlich koloriert oder teilkoloriert, . Einband stärker berieben. Fehstelle und Einriss im Lederbezug des Rückens. Seiten und Tafeln leicht gebräunt, zum Teil etwas knickspurig und stellenweise blass stockfleckig bzw. mit Wasserrand. Einzelne Falttafeln mit Einrissen im Falz (bis zu 4 cm), die Tafeln mit Schädeln, europäischer Bevölkerung, außergewöhnliche Menschen und zum Blutkreislauf je mit größerem Einriss (zwischen 6 cm und 10 cm), Tafel zur Anatomie des Sekeletts mit Ausschnitt (ca. 7 x 5,5 cm), Tafel zur amerikanischen Bevölkerung mit größerer Fehlstelle (die Figuren zu den Ziffern 1-3 fehlen), zwei Falttafeln lose beiliegend. Insgesamt gutes Exemplar.

With an engraved title vignette and 20 (of 22) folding copperplate engravings, occasionally coloured or partially coloured. Binding heavily rubbed with a loss and tear to the leather on the spine. Pages and plates lightly darkened, in places with creases, faint foxing, or marginal waterstaining. Several folding plates with tears at the folds (up to 4 cm), plates depicting skulls, European populations, extraordinary individuals, and the circulatory system each with larger tears (6 to 10 cm), the anatomical plate of the skeleton with a cut-out section (approx. 7 × 5.5 cm), the plate depicting American populations with a large loss (figures 1–3 missing), two folding plates loosely inserted. Overall a good copy.
