Boccaccio, Giovanni: Sammelband mit 37 Boccaccio-Illustrationen. Paris, o.J. Groß-8°. 25 x 21,5 cm. 37 Blatt. Bibliophiler Halblederband der Zeit auf 5 Bünden mit goldgeprägtem Rückentitel, marmoriertem Deckelbezug, marmorierten Vorsätzen und Kopfgoldschnitt.

Privat zusammengestellte Sammlung mit insgesamt 37 auf Tafeln montierten Kupferstichen entnommen aus Pariser Boccaccio-Ausgaben des 19. Jahrhunderts, darunter 10 Stiche von Leopold Flameng, 20 Stiche von Boulay nach Rogier und 7 Stiche nach Mariliier. Einband gering fleckig und stellenweise etwas beschabt. Vorsatz und Tafeln im unteren Bundsteg zu Beginn und gegen Ende mit kleinerem, gebräuntem Wasserfleck. Tafeln zum Teil leicht gebräunt und leicht bis vereinzelt mäßig stockfleckig, die Stiche selbst in kräftigen und klaren Abdrucken erhalten. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar.
Bibliophilic half-leather binding of the period on 5 raised bands with gilt spine title, marbled boards, marbled endpapers, and gilt top edge. Privately compiled collection with a total of 37 copper engravings mounted on plates, taken from Paris Boccaccio editions of the 19th century, including 10 engravings by Leopold Flameng, 20 engravings by Boulay after Rogier, and 7 engravings after Marillier. Binding slightly stained and in places somewhat rubbed. Endpapers and plates at the lower inner margin at the beginning and towards the end with a small darkened waterstain. Plates partly lightly darkened and lightly to occasionally moderately foxed, the engravings themselves preserved in strong and clear impressions. A near fine copy.
