Erste Ausgabe. Wuttke 73. Mit 5 Lichtdrucktafeln im Anhang, davon eine doppelblattgroß, und 6 Textabbildungen in Schwarz-Weiß. Außer dieser erschienen von Aby Warburg (1866-1929) zu seinen Lebzeiten nur zwei weitere Buchpublikationen. Umschlag am Rücken leicht wasserfleckig und mit geringen Randläsuren. Zwei Ecken etwas bestoßen. Vorsätze, Titelei, letzte Seite und erste Tafel umseitig leicht stockfleckig. Tafeln etwas gebräunt. Insgesamt gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar.

With 5 photogravure plates in the appendix, including one double-page plate, and 6 black-and-white illustrations in the text. Apart from this work, Aby Warburg (1866-1929) published only two other books during his lifetime. Dust jacket slightly waterstained along the spine and with minor edge wear. Two corners lightly bumped. Endpapers, title pages, last leaf, and first plate on the reverse with light foxing. Plates slightly darkened. Near fine copy.
