Englischsprachige Ausgabe. Mit zahlreichen Schwarz-Weiß-Abbildungen. Einbände an den Kanten teils deutlich berieben, Leder mit kleinen Fehlstellen, Außenfalz von Band 3 mit Einriss (ca. 4,5 cm). Rückenleder von Band 6 teils erneuert. Kopfschnitte angestaubt. Vorsätze der Bände 1-4 im Innenfalz teils komplett eingerissen, Innenfalze von Band 5-7 mit schwarzem Leder verstärkt. Blätter teils leicht braunfleckig, wenige stärker braunfleckig, einige Blattränder papierbedingt gebräunt. Band 1: Vortitel zur Hälfte gelöst, Bindung gelockert, eine Lage stärker gelockert. Gute Exemplare. English language edition. With many illustrations in b/w. Half leather bindings with gilt embossed titles on spine and comb marbled edges. Covers significantly rubbed at the margins, leather with small missing parts, outer fold of volume 3 with one tear (appr. 4,5 cm). Upper spine of volume 6 partly restored with new leather. Upper edges dusty. Endpapers of the volumes 1-4 teared at the inner folds, inner folds of volumes 5-7 repaired with a black leather stripe. Sheets partly lightly foxy, few sheets strongly foxy, some sheets darkened at the margins. Volume 1: half title loosened, binding loosened, one layer almost completely detached. Good copies.
