Arabischsprachige Ausgabe. Rot rubrizierter Text mit Titel und Kolophon als farbige Zierblätter. Herausgegeben von der Geistlichen Verwaltung der Muslime Zentralasiens und Kasachstans (SADUM) unter der Schirmherrschaft von Mufti Ziyautdin Khan ibn Ishan Babakhan. Arabischer Text mit Taschkil. Gedruckt unter der Breschnew-Regierung in der UdSSR. Die streng reglementierte Koran-Ausgabe wurde von der Geistlichen Verwaltung (SADUM) initiiert, um im Rahmen der sowjetischen Orientpolitik gegenüber Staatsgästen aus dem Nahen Osten als diplomatisches Instrument zu dienen. Ein Großteil der limitierten Auflage war für den Export bestimmt, weshalb im Westen erhaltene Exemplare selten sind. Einband nur minimal berieben, Schnitt etwas fleckig. Erneuerte Vorsätze mit gestempeltem Exlibris. Die ersten und letzten Blätter etwas gedunkelt und mit minimalen Randläsuren, das Titelblatt mit Schabstelle (Verlust einzelner Wörter). Wenige Seiten in den Stegen blass fleckig. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar.

Text rubricated in red, with the title and colophon on decorative colour-printed leaves. Published by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan (SADUM), under the patronage of Mufti Ziyautdin Khan ibn Ishan Babakhan. Arabic text with tashkil. Printed in the USSR under the Brezhnev government. This strictly regulated edition of the Qur’an was initiated by the Spiritual Administration (SADUM) to serve as a diplomatic instrument, within the framework of Soviet policy toward the Middle East, for presentation to visiting state guests from the region. Much of the limited print run was intended for export, making surviving copies in the West rare. The binding is only minimally rubbed, the edges are somewhat stained. Endpapers renewed, with a stamped bookplate. The first and last leaves are somewhat darkened and have minimal marginal wear, the title page has a scraped area with loss of a few words. A few pages have faint stains in the inner margins. A good to very good copy.
