Einband etwas berieben, Lederbezug des Rückens in den Gelenken etwas rissig und an den Kapitalen mit kleinen Fehlstellen. Stellenweise leicht stockfleckig. Eine Seite mit Eckeinriss (minimale Textberührung). Gestochene Falttafel mit beidseitig mit halbtransparentem Papier repariertem Einriss (ca. 8 cm, Papier einen Teil der Nebelabbildungen überdeckend), im oberen weißen Rand blass wasserrandig (wenig gebräunt, nicht wellig, ohne Bildberührung) und stellenweise minimal stockfleckig. Gutes Exemplar.

With one folding engraved plate (a historical depiction of the solar system and the celestial bodies then known, various cometary orbits, nebulae, constellations, and astronomical calculations). 3) Prony: Instruction élémentaire et pratique sur l’usage des tables de logarithmes. Paris, 1834. First edition. [1] leaf, XIV pp., pp. [5]–74, [1] leaf. With 6 folding tables. Binding somewhat rubbed; the leather covering of the spine slightly split at the joints and with minor losses at the head and foot. Light foxing in places. One page with a marginal tear, with minimal intrusion into the text. Engraved folding plate with an approximately 8 cm tear repaired on both sides with semi-transparent paper, the repair obscuring part of the nebula illustrations; pale waterstaining to the upper blank margin (slightly browned, not cockled, and without affecting the image), and minimal foxing in places. A good copy.
