Einbände etwas berieben und bestoßen und stäker lichtrandig. Tafeln und Karten moderat stockfleckig, Seiten ansonsten nur stellenweise leicht betroffen. Insgesamt gutes Exemplar.
Cloth bindings of the time with gilt-stamped spine titles, heraldic spine decoration, and blind-stamped floral ornamentation on the covers. In a modern cardboard slipcase. First edition. English-language edition. With a title page printed in red and black, three engraved frontispieces, two engraved, single-folding maps, and an engraved plate featuring a facsimile of handwriting. The bindings are somewhat rubbed and bumped, and have pronounced fading along the edges. The plates and maps show moderate foxing; the text is otherwise only lightly affected in places. Overall, a good copy.
