(greg.) 1887 als Moische Chazkelewitsch Schagal in Peskowatik, heute Stadtteil von Witebsk (Belarus), gest. 28.03.1985 in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, (Frankreich). Russisch-französischer Maler jüdischer Religionszugehörigkeit, einer der bedeutendsten Maler des 20. Jahrhunderts).
Original-Farblithografie. Komposition für das Plakat der retrospektiven Ausstellung im Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, 1959. Druck durch Mourlot, Paris, auf Velin d’Arches mit Wasserzeichen. Mourlot 224. Hier, anders als angegeben, unterhalb des Motivs mit dem typografischen Aufdruck in Schwarz, ohne den roten Namenszug (Marc Chagall). Maße Abbildung: 66,5 x 50,0 cm. Maße Blatt: 76 x 56 cm. Blatt durch die frühere Montage hinter Passepartout teils leicht gedunkelt, rückseitig am oberen Blatt daher auch mit einem Streifen weißen Nassklebeband, ansonsten sehr guter Zustand.

Mourlot 224. Here, contrary to the information, with black typographical print below the picture, but without the red print „Marc Chagall“. Dimensions of the picture: 66.5 x 50.0 cm. Sheet size: 76 x 56 cm. Sheet partly darkened due to the former framing behind a passepartout, therefrom also with a stripe of white wet adhesive tape at the upper margin on the backside of the sheet, otherwise fine condition.
